Very beautiful, Hal! Maybe it's a bit didactic in the first part, but that's pure nitpicking :-). Bye.
Sting Bring On The Night

I liked the album and I still do, but I respect your opinion (and that of many others, it seems). However, the review, while very well written, says very little about the album. Basically, you just slammed it because Sting dissolved the Police and claimed Omar Hakim was the greatest drummer of the moment. I agree, that statement is a huge load of crap (the classic things people say to promote themselves), but it's also nonsense to deny that the group Sting brought along to those concerts was a solid one (especially Marsalis). Those jazz influences came from them (just like Copeland added those reggae elements). If you don’t like the jazz influence, that's fine; if you don’t like Sting, that's fine too; but those four musicians playing on this album don’t deserve to be slammed along with him.

Hi Frank, nice proposal but... you're a bit hard to read. Sorry for being particular, but a little more attention to punctuation and slightly less "confusing" sentences might benefit your review. Oh, just to be clear, it's a suggestion, not a reprimand. As for the group you reviewed, I'm already on their MySpace listening... Bye!

Seen in Faenza on July 22. Unforgettable, even though I would have liked to hear "Il mantello e la spiga" :-(

Indeed, I hadn’t noticed the nonsense listed above at all... Maybe it’s because I read it while I was distracted, or maybe it’s because I’m completely losing my mind? Who knows...

It could be Woodstock. I haven't seen the movie, but I watched part of the concert at Madison Square Garden in '73 on the latest DVD that came out, and in my opinion, they were still in excellent shape, perhaps my favorite Zeppelins, although I agree that soon they would inevitably decline.

@Pibroch: I have to say that I really admire Gilmour, it’s true that he’s expressive, but he’s "nailed down"; he’s been playing like that for ages and honestly, it’s getting on my nerves...
