I don't like your review. Sorry, maybe I'm being a bit too harsh (maybe because I adore this album), but I believe that the intimacy of this record cannot be captured with a track by track analysis. That said, I agree with you on the overall judgment of the album. PS. "The Sorrowful Wife" is a masterpiece!

Two Waits in a day: what a blessing! A somewhat visionary but thoroughly enjoyable review. I listened to the album for the first time when I wasn't yet able to grasp its beauty. It's challenging, but it undoubtedly rewards all the effort put in!

I really like Waits the non-noise maker, and a lot at that. This is the most melancholic, nostalgic, and nocturnal album I've ever had. Blue Valentine nearly makes me cry... The review is flawless. My dad introduced me to the Rolling Stones, to say the least...
