Well, perhaps the problem with this concert (and probably with many other reunions) is the audience's expectation: they may come back, but '77 will never return, not even by paying 92?. I think it's better to remember them for how they were in the good old days rather than disappoint expectations that might be too high. Bye!

"I really hate the real sax, let alone the fake one" you'd deserve a 1 just for that, but given the usual taste issue, I’ll avoid it. Aside from that, you didn’t tell me anything about the concert: the opening piece, the closing one, a couple of instruments used (surely there wasn't just Sting's Precision on stage). Basically, from your review, I gather that the three are not gods and therefore even at 60 they have arthritis... Did you go there to at least try to feel a couple of emotions and have a nice evening, or just to make a couple of critiques?
Joe Satriani Joe Satriani

Satriani is a straightforward guitarist. Technically superb, less showy than many others (I'll skip the names), when he set aside technicality and insane speed, he always pulled out great things (Starry Night comes to mind). Unfortunately, he is now in a declining phase; Surfin' With The Alien is just a memory. Still, he was a legend for me when I was 15, and I think that's fair; tastes change... An honest review like the artist himself.

And so it is... Nice review, but I've never listened to them, I've always had a gut feeling of guaranteed disappointment about it...

Hard, if you feel like it, give it a listen, it won't kill you for sure. The only advice I have for you is: don’t give up after the first listen (and not even the second, third, fourth, fifth...). I believe it's the most challenging album I’ve ever encountered, but even the walls know by now that a "demanding" listen ultimately pays off! Bye!

If it weren't for that couple of "boring and scorched episodes," I would have bought it. Damn, I need to stop reading positive reviews; it's bad for my wallet :-)... I really like your review; you're great! I know you really want a 1, but I just can't help it...

Congratulations Contemplazione, a truly heartfelt review! The album isn't in my discography, but it has limited time... @Hardrock: I met Davis through Bitches Brew, and the experience was so traumatizing that I didn't listen to it for months, but in the end, it became one of my favorites. @Uxo: I love rankings; what would we be doing here if they didn't exist?:-)

Grant, I don't want to hear the new demos. I sometimes listen to Appetite out of nostalgia for the good old days, but a new album under the Guns name will have the same effect as the last Pumpinkis, guaranteed. Rather, if Slash wanted to revive the Snakepit (2nd lineup), then I might be interested...

Well, I would call Spaghetti indecent... I like the rest. @Mien you are absolutely right, when Stradlin was composing you could feel the difference, but even tight songs like Don't Damn Me are not bad. And then in UYI 1 there's November Rain, it may not be street rock, but I don't think it's something to be discarded...
