This time I liked you less Uxo, maybe because the proposal doesn't attract me at all... Anyway, you know some weird stuff, huh... Bye!

In Fusillo's little game, it doesn't matter which card you choose, they all get removed :-) Anyway, it's cute, come on...

@Alexander: I don’t like Murder, call it whatever you want, but my tastes remain and are not up for discussion, they are simply mine :-) I also think Cave is not dead, what does that mean? At most, he has changed, and while the change can definitely be discussed, expecting a 50-year-old to get high and write another From Her to Eternity after 30 years is unimaginable and perhaps a bit ā€œselfish.ā€ I listened to this last night and I like it even more. Bye!

I fully agree with Ole on Murder; my favorite will always remain Boatman’s Call, but that’s another story...

I’ve only had it since Saturday, so I don’t feel like giving it a rating, but my first impression matches yours: Wow, Nick has risen! After the album credited to Grinderman (which I absolutely loved), I couldn’t have asked for anything better. If I had to assign it an adjective, I’d say ā€œthrilling.ā€ @djmushroom: just think that I don’t like Murder Ballads… tastes are always just tastes, right? Cheers!

I give the vote to the cover! I liked the review, even though you don't say a damn thing about the album. I'm joining Ole in line for the recommendation on the first album to try. Bye!

Giovanni Allevi AlleviLive @ Teatro delle Celebrazioni (BO), 04/03/08

Once a friend of mine (who mainly listens to metal) told me that he liked Allevi’s latest album and that it was not boring at all to listen to a whole album of just piano. Surprised by this, I lent him Brad Mehldau's live in Tokyo: he gave it back to me disgusted the next day asking me, "What the hell are you listening to? You can't make sense of anything he plays!" If most Italians are even somewhat like him (not to take anything away from my friend, who is a great person, or those who appreciate Allevi :-P), then I completely understand his success. It means that people seek exactly what Allevi proposes: popular and, above all, reassuring melodies with a hint of classical. That said, I want to reiterate that it’s absolutely not my intention to offend anyone who enjoys Allevi, but simply that what I look for in music is far from what he offers. Bye!

It may be a duplicate and it may be in the cases, but I like it much more than a lot of other stuff on the homepage. @Cimbarello: these are the literary cases, an overlooked place by many where reviews end up when they are not worthy of the homepage or when the homepage is not worthy of them :-) Anyway, don't worry, sometimes it's considered a privilege to find yourself in this limbo. Bye!

Really nice review! I was about to buy them a little while ago but I chose something else... Sooner or later I have to listen to them.
