I love their blend of world music and singer-songwriter pop.

It was released last Friday. Apparently, it contains the famous ballad of Renzo, an unreleased piece in which Rino practically predicted the accident that would kill him... Besides the concert, there are some translations in Spanish and in English, along with a few unreleased versions. Interesting, I believe, for a couple of listens and nothing more. The usual commercial operation. I'm still curious to listen to it.

I would recommend careful listening to this album to all those who consider Rino an overrated songwriter. Perhaps he didn't have the poetic depth of a De André, maybe he wasn't as cultured and skilled a musician as a Fossati, but his songs were powerful, hell they were. And they are still relevant today. The various TV shows have boosted his popularity and diminished his credibility among certain somewhat superficial music lovers... oh well. The lyricism and irony he leaves us in his six albums are always beautiful to rediscover.
