Bono has a rather peculiar voice and way of singing; you either like it or you don't, just like all great vocalists, it's normal. I've heard plenty of comments about Robert Smith, for example. I don't think there's any doubt that he's talented; try singing "Where the Streets Have No Name" without collapsing to the ground.

I'm not sure people judge U2 based on their latest albums, in many cases they simply rely on dislike/prejudice, like with all "committed" bands that sell tons of records. Many don’t even listen to them before saying they suck. I’m not saying there aren’t people who honestly can’t stand them as a rock band! That said, I also think they’ve declined quite a bit, but Zooropa and Pop are great albums, especially Zooropa, which for me is a must. Out of the last three, I only save No Line on the Horizon, which just manages to pass.

always the same comments under the reviews about U2, oh. there are more clichés here than in Massimo Giletti's Sunday show.

I mean, nothing against it, it's just that it seems to me more or less like saying "chocolate is sweeter than pizza," with an implied "therefore it's better...".

No guys, we're not on the same page... if Gaetano is overrated, then I don't know what isn't, because I could easily write a review on De André, make a couple of comparisons, and let's see if the Genoese master comes out shining as well. It seems to me that this has become a matter of football fandom... for me, Gaetano lacked nothing; he had the messages, and as a musician, he was wanting (it's a matter of perspective), but it doesn't seem to me that the singer-songwriters of that era were all that exceptional in that regard; vocally, he seems to be a magnificent example of how much one can achieve with little at their disposal... I find his lyrics filled with just the right amount of poetry and a disarming clarity... why not simply celebrate the rediscovery of one of Italy's musical pride? Why seek comparisons when it's unnecessary? For me, De André was a more refined lyricist, and I also notice how much better Fossati plays, but I don't see where the need to point all this out comes from.

In such well-crafted shots, even Rosy Bindi would appear cooler than usual, but to me, they’re just two subnormals. There’s definitely better in the same landscape of teen pop!

I have nothing against teen pop as long as it doesn't make me vomit blood and bile. So I would say that for the most part, it makes me feel quite sorry; the tATu are no exception, damn it, their singles were really awful! Unbearable voices, and they weren't even hot. They still haunt my nightmares. Sorry if I give a 1 to the review, but the average has something poetic about it.
