if only there were more of these groups nowadays, no kidding. maybe they weren’t genius in terms of creativity, but they all had a lot of guts. in every album, from the first to Made in Heaven, there are at least a couple of magnificent songs, even in the gay-dance flop Hot Space and even in the non-disco Flash Gordon.

In my opinion, it's already a great album; sure, the second one is something else, but there are some real gems, Liar and Jesus above all. The drumming of the often-mistreated Roger Taylor here has a unique sound.

You might be right, bjorky, but I consider "Yellow Submarine" a masterpiece. It’s the sublimation of the chorus, to be sung all together in the car. This album, although double, features some astronomical masterpieces.

I only know the first one, which I'm listening to right now (great album) and a few other tracks of theirs. You really made me smile when you used the words 'crack of the whip'... lovely review.

As far as I remember, it was quite boring, except for a few masterpieces.

I'm really sorry to say that I don't remember a thing since I listened to it. Oh my goodness, Peter Hammill...
