Ne: The Emperor of Rome features a young man wandering the city, getting drunk without interacting with anyone. It's not even clear why he's drinking... not that it has to be explicitly stated, but making a film about someone who just does foolish things because they’re drunk feels a bit too simplistic. For me, there needs to be more; the most serious flaw is that he doesn’t engage with anyone. Neorealism is something else entirely.

Great album by one of the most interesting musicians in recent years.

Intelligent recommendation of a singer I've always liked, but whose other talents I wasn't aware of. I have no trouble believing that he is good even beyond the trivial songs like Agata or Donna Rosa. I couldn't read the last lines because the characters are too small; perhaps it would be good to switch back to slightly larger ones. While I'm at it, I also want to say that I'm among those who preferred the first cow and not the stylized one that exists now.

It's all true, Parks is just as you described. Perhaps you've covered a significant gap in the albums reviewed on the site.

Among the genres present in their music, you mentioned Cajun, and a nice review of a Cajun music compilation is what's missing on DeBaser. If no one else will do it, then I will; this little-known but delightful music cannot be absent from the site.

I listened to them again a few days ago, and while hearing their version of "Marie Marie," I thought of Shakin' Stevens' version—so much more grit and class. It was the time of punk, but they (along with others, e.g. Stray Cats) showed that even the revival could/should have its space. And why not! There should always be room for everything.

Well, since my supplier is giving it to me at a bargain price, I’ll take it; it seems interesting.

Beautiful review as usual, but I'm not familiar with the album. You wrote Progressive, Psychedelia, Space Rock, extremely quirky rock, barking like a dog... who could it be compared to? I can't think of anyone, maybe Tav Falco from a distance, but I'm probably off track. Do you think I might be interested?
