Michael Haneke Funny Games U.S.

Before seeing it, I expected something better, much better. A disheartening film for its "desperate" attempt to evoke horror in the viewer. There’s nothing behind it, the absolute void of a silly story... if only the director had bothered to better define the characters, but no. A review that tries to provide some explanation, but this film doesn't say a thing to me. Three reviews on DeBaser, and an English remake, go figure!
Alfred Hitchcock Gli Uccelli

In an interview, Hitchcock said that if he had known about the difficulties he would face in shooting this film, he wouldn't have even started it. Regarding Hitch's screenplays, he was such a perfectionist that he would already specify in the script what type of lens was to be used in a particular scene. Evan Hunter, alias Ed McBain, was named Salvatore Lombino.

What a guy Lee Marvin, more American than John Wayne.

Very nice review. I saw the film, but I hardly remember anything; I found it on the torrent site, hoping it’s not a porno. I think there’s a scene where a suitcase opens and a lot of money flies out. When I saw "robbery in broad daylight," it came to mind because it's a brilliant idea. Unless I'm mistaken and I've completely missed the mark. I give it a 4 out of trust.

I kill, you kill, we kill, you all kill, they kill... vote, low, very low. I add that there are no Italian crime writers that I like among those I know. (few)

Claudio Sorge? I believe he is roughly my age, he was one of the founders of Rockerilla, back then he was passionate about punk. Maybe he is aging poorly.

I'm here just to say that a comment you made last time pleasantly surprised me. I'm sending you a message to tell you why. Hi.

Akira Kurosawa Dersu Uzala
Voto:
SUPERSOUL, Kurosawa wants to express what you say as well, namely that a hundred years ago, even in those remote lands, "civilization" had already arrived. Dersu, on the other hand, represents exactly the opposite, the man who lives serenely in close connection with nature, respecting it and becoming a part of it himself. Kurosawa contrasts these two realities. However, I don’t see Dersu in the role of "the noble savage" as he has had a family, a history behind him. The idea of "the noble savage" is the myth of the man originally devoid of evil, contaminated by progress, which I believe does not fit Dersu. I agree with "Corvo rosso non avrai il mio scalpo".

A beautiful film about a friendship that gives the director the opportunity to teach us what the true values are that we should treasure in life. Dersu Uzala is the embodiment of righteousness, simplicity, and goodness, which are only possible in an environment not yet devastated by "progress." A must-see.
