Good, I didn't know you were also in DeBaser.

Under are the stretched-out times of Sergio Leone, it's one of his characteristics, nonetheless I consider Once Upon a Time in the West his masterpiece.

ArnoldLayne, I mentioned the R.E.M. just as an example because there are so many people who love them, myself included. I've written it before: the only classification I believe is fair to make is between what you enjoy and what bores you. Sometimes I feel like listening to Charlie Parker, other times to Amon Düül. I also like Maledetta Primavera; I couldn't care less about the labels.

Three and a half hours, still beautiful.

radiodays I more or less agree with you, but the film in question has so many original ideas that it doesn't look out of place even when compared to Wilder's comedies. However, as you say, it's a matter of tastes.

ArnoldLayne isn't even a four for me; in fact, I gave it a five. I take this opportunity to complete my statement. I mentioned Highway 61 Revisited, but I could have also brought up what is considered the best Talking Heads, or Rem, or Bad Religion, or Zappa. It seems absurd to ask how antiFAKEsimile could do so. Are there rock albums that you consider better than this? Could you tell me which ones and especially why? Thank you... Fortunately, music is so diverse and tastes are equally varied that it’s impossible to give a definitive answer.

Dear Fidia, I think it's time to comment on one of your reviews again. After all, we didn't even argue. I really like this film because it is visually stunning, along with outstanding performances from all the actors, and the direction is great too. The plot is very complex, almost indecipherable... but who cares.

Can we also mention Highway 61 Revisited? Certainly, it’s not avant-garde, but you don’t have to propose innovative ideas to create an immortal record. The Piper at... is just fine, as is Trout Mask Replica. Personally, I’m not the type to seek out the unexplored labyrinths hidden behind the beauty of a record. I listen to music purely for the joy of listening... and then, after repeated listens, those labyrinths emerge anyway. Making these comparisons easily leads to pseudo-intellectual debates. It’s like comparing Ladri di biciclette to Il Sorasso or La dolce vita; each has its own beauty... that said, I want to clarify that this is not a critique of antiFAKEsimile's comment or that of happypippo, who articulated his ideas well. But rather, it’s my personal "war" to encourage listening to music without prejudice.

I think you didn't understand anything about this film. This is a brilliant comedy full of delightful ideas and genteel humor, in my opinion one of the best films of the last 25 years. Go watch the Vanzina.
