What do you think of Willie Dixon and Sidney Bechet? I just need a brief opinion, I'm not asking for much.

Beautiful, nothing to add to what others have said. In fact, a question to which he has already partly answered galakordi urtis krat... is it true that it took three years to shoot it and that the scenes were filmed in different countries, mostly in Morocco?

A film full of flaws but captivating. The original is different, less overflowing but no less engaging.

I'm looking forward to your review, and I would love to read a brief list of musicians you like, perhaps explaining why.

MuffinMan, I wrote that I like Zappa, and that he created pearls of immense value, but his output has been overwhelming despite having a long career. Perhaps the expression "sea of shit" is not the most appropriate, but, in around 50 albums (I think), in addition to the pure diamonds, he also served us modest things, sometimes mediocre. That's how I feel about it.

Above all, I would like to know who he likes besides Zappa, who I also like, but the flaw is that to find a pure diamond in his music, you have to search through a sea of crap. (But it’s a pure diamond.) Also, I’m waiting for his review; one knows that criticizing and posing as an intellectual is easier than putting oneself on the line.

@PieroScaruffi if you're referring to punk, I completely agree, but alongside the Germs, X, Avengers, there were also other bands like Television, Talking Heads, and R.E.M. At that time, I was around thirty and part of that multitude of discontented youth.

supersoul, Mink DeVille is the first review I ever wrote; I did it by chance because I was upset about a ranking I saw that overlooked the greats of music. Just imagine how it hit me; if it educated a hundred others, I don't know. Don’t read my review because rather than a review, it was a venting written in 5 minutes. It was poorly written.

@PieroScaruffi you criticize them but you like them, something doesn’t add up. I’ll copy and paste some sentences you wrote about the R.E.M. N1: Is there perhaps any other band in the world that has produced music of this level for so many years? N2: Their epic-choral refrain with overlapping voices, enhanced by Peter Buck's Rickenbacker arpeggios reminiscent of the Byrds, proposed a kind of guitar boogie suspended between wakefulness and sleep, in which the epic and visionary accents of Patti Smith were still evident. Yet, at the same time, the harmony was arranged in a much more intricate way, with continuous time changes and even some dissonance. N3: With the relentless rhythm of a ringing jingle-jangle and the sign of a fluid and plaintive vocalization, R.E.M. coined a type of song that was trance-like, yet simultaneously invigorated by melodic progressions worthy of liturgical hymns and psychedelic ecstasy.......... Finally, looking at your site, I discovered that the phrase: R.E.M. have never represented anything particular from a sociological perspective, is copied word for word from Scaruffi (the real one) lines 13 and 14 on R.E.M.

PieroScaruffi, I don't care if they don't represent anything from a sociological point of view; I listen to music because it can touch some chords of my sensitivity. Tell me which are the groups that have represented something from a sociological point of view and WHY. Tom Petty, Al Green, Jackson Browne, Clapton, Johnny Winter, John Hiatt, Mink DeVille, De la Soul, eels, Ike & Tina Turner, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, bands and solo artists with millions of fans... what have they represented from a sociological perspective? Trust me and aim lower, listening to music for what it is. If it could talk, I’m sure music would say: Could you stop examining me in sociological terms!? If you like me, listen to me; I’m seven notes put together artfully for the pleasure of being heard.
