This is the best review made by the special envoy at the film festival. I haven't seen the movie.

Poletti, in my opinion, the earthquake is simply a device to end the film. The work that has been done to bring together the various stories needed a resolution. It’s an ingenious pretext to summarize numerous plots. At the same time, it’s a way to define even more clearly the personalities of the various characters, who all react differently to the event. The most dramatic reaction is represented by Jerry, who unleashes the violence accumulated over years of frustration in the angriest manner. It’s an earthquake that can also be understood metaphorically; there is no disaster after which life does not go on, despite everything. As for the housewife who makes hard phone calls while holding her young son, don’t forget that this is taken from a story by Carver, who paid great attention to sociological details. But just look at TV… programs that invite viewers to make erotic phone calls are abundant.

And you were wrong because "I Protagonisti" is a beautiful movie. A comedy-thriller, with a wonderful ending. By the way, there's also Bruce Willis and Julia Roberts? who make a cameo.

Poletti, I respect your opinion, but "Cookie's Fortune" and "America Today" are not even comparable, because the topics covered are very different. The former is a delightful comedy, portrayed with humor and sensitivity. "America Today" is a relentless, at times cruel, depiction of the lives of certain couples and human nature, a bitter, hopeless snapshot of American society. Think of the painstaking and meticulous work that Altman and his collaborators did just to weave together the various stories by Carver. (Perfectly successful)

Over the top? One of Altman's weaker films? You're joking, right? MisterGigi, it’s just starting, I’m leaving, during the commercial read the review on DeBaser, so you can get an idea. Bye.

mien_mo_man, why did you choose the nickname mien_mo_man? You wrote that to understand it, one must have read Kerouac or Henry Miller. I didn't understand.

Bartleboom, are you still online? Tonight at 11:30 PM they’re showing America Oggi by Altman on Rete 4. Don’t miss one of the most beautiful films ever. (There are no contraindications even if you’ve already seen it)
