Given that the comments are absolutely ridiculous, and somewhat the intent of the reviewer, who in response to not particularly transcendental doubts writes a REVIEW of the gospel on debaser, complete with a rating; (I think everyone here, believers and non-believers alike, does not think it is a novel in the classical sense of the term) the problem for any manifestation of the spirit (read reductively as religion) is empiricism, which has always been inherent in man (the "if I don't see it, I don't believe it" now at historical highs) and an absolutely WRONG standard of judgment to face a profession. It’s like trying to explain the concept of the Trinity in mathematical terms; it's impossible. Either one sees a total contradiction, or one asserts that it’s all nonsense and that’s that. It could also be that centuries of masonry have led the entire world to adopt the Cartesian view (which, as later demonstrated, has flaws on all sides) and now one feels free to profess an anti-doctrine. Just to throw more fuel on the fire, I am a non-evolutionist and believe in the existence of the soul. Psycroptic proves to be exceedingly ridiculous, displaying a blind obtuseness far superior to that of certain "fundamentalist" Christians. I advise him to do some good reading and not to follow the anti-religious doctrine of his techno trash groups as a stance.

I admit I wanted to indulge in some rhetoric. You know, the classic: how we were and how we are (reduced). :D

I also give little ratings like Opel :) 3 to this, 4/4.5 to Frances the Mute, 3.5 to Amputechture, 3/3.5 to Bedlam in Goliath (even though for some obscure reason I've been listening to it since January).

@eibhi: honestly, this talk about reading targets seems like a load of nonsense to me. A bit like the distinction between art and lesser art. I understand books for early childhood, but I hope I'm not the only romantic to prefer a world where one starts with, I don’t know, "The Sorrows of Young Werther," or "Siddhartha." I'm not saying it has to be this way for everyone, but please let’s not justify the unjustifiable.

The shriveled record, in my opinion, is extremely overrated. The mv here is in its embryonic stage, a bit more ATDI and less hysterical compared to the subsequent ones. I prefer Frances the Mute, which I believe is their only truly interesting and significant album.
