things already said, but these discussions about art and non-art are the typical inferiority complex of the media-video game: the usual crowd of nerds wanting to elevate their passion by bringing it into the world of "grown-ups." in reality, no one needs it, and the very discourse on video game-art does not allow for serious considerations in my opinion. the fact that a video game can evoke emotions does not make it art. not even a plot or a screenplay alone is sufficient, because overall it all revolves around the playful aspect. and it's precisely the examples brought forward by those who want to elevate video games that are completely wrong: the plots and themes of various final fantasy and metal gear, for instance, are seriously embarrassing. I found this game to be a total drag, and for me that’s where the paradox lies: who cares if video games are works of art? I fire up quake or wipeout and the answer is definitely nothing.

all of this is a five for me. on one side there's nothing, on the other many nice but harmless things. I wish I could be grabbed by the stomach every now and then. but thinking it over, has it ever been how one would want?
King Crimson The Power To Believe

superior to both the construction of light and thrak, in my opinion. of course, a possible leap from the '70s to this album here would be nothing short of traumatic. in any case, it is impossible for me to give a failing grade to anything with adrian belew.

Radiohead The King Of Limbs: Live from The Basement

I'll probably feel the same about this, but I find The King of Limbs really bland. Actually, I quite enjoyed it during the first 2/3 listens, but now it bores me like a line at the post office.

Nice review, I'll check out something in streaming. If I'm not mistaken, though, this isn't their first album...
Tom Waits Bad As Me

The album is nice, not mind-blowing, but I still don't see any reason to take it off the turntable. Maybe it's the best from Bone Machine.

Seen at the concert for Pisapia, I believe he is quite an embarrassing character. Maybe worse than the Ministers, I wouldn’t know how to decide...

the impression is that the tracks burn a bit too early, it really feels like a synthesis of the waits style condensed into about ten songs. to say that it sticks to only one register is something for audiophiles, rather one could say that it doesn't change registers often within the same piece..
