King Crimson The Power To Believe

the coldness of the latest albums is characteristic of this "phase" of the crimson king's music. in my opinion, it perfectly reflects the times we live in without unnecessary posturing and rebellious revolutionisms, like a post-industrial nightmare steeped in humanity (and class, which is always at home here)

extreme music? the anathema are worth less than zero even there... extreme metal? do we want to narrow it down a bit to make them stand out at all costs? I agree with lux about neurosis, I would also mention meshuggah in the so-called (but also metal) extreme music. these guys choose an attitude and a certain type of audience to compensate for an embarrassing lack of talent... and the anathema's albums after the "rock turn" get lost in the jumble of easy listening releases that saturate the music market, I don't see why they should be preferred over, say, radiohead...

Wow Holdsworth! A big gap from Debaser. I cherish his entire discography, and my favorite remains undoubtedly I.O.U., while on this, I completely agree with you. He is a virtuoso, but in my opinion, even in the most daring ascents on the six strings, he never loses that sense of melody and that touch that makes him look down on all the other so-called virtuosos who attempt the guitar. A great one.
Queen A Night At The Opera

Speaking purely in terms of quality, I would say that for many of the Stones' albums we can talk about masterpieces, but not for Queen. Moreover, music belongs to its time, and often part of its charm comes from this. Anyway, the banana album sounds, in my opinion, quite dated, no less than the Stones.

the level of acidity in comments on debaser has increased by 30 percent. everyone has become biased and hostile. I would say, let everyone listen to what they want and show RESPECT for others' tastes, expressing their criticisms of a musical genre without objectifying them by attacking other users. respect is the fear of doubt, a necessary prerequisite for any opinionist who wants to define themselves as such, as there have never been any bearers of absolute truth. peace and love
