I don't see it that dark. I'm also a Beatles fanatic and a fan of Sir Paul, so I have thousands and thousands of listens behind me. However, I must say that the album is enjoyable; it lends itself to being listened to quite well. It's not on the level of "Chaos & Creation in The Backyard," which I consider Paul's masterpiece of the new millennium, but it is an honest album by one of the greatest musicians of all time. He's done worse in "Driving Rain," in my opinion....
P.S.: But then can someone explain something to me? Why is "Wild Life" considered by everyone as one of his lowest points? I believe it's quite the opposite!! It's one of the most beautiful albums Sir Paul has ever made!!

I agree with Bartleboom. I don't see all that quest for Sabbath-like sounds in Ozzy's solo discography. On the contrary. He has quite distanced himself from that kind of sound and timbre that remain purely the domain of the great Iommi.

Good review. You’ve piqued my curiosity about the album in question. Unfortunately, I come from a "Down to Earth" that, aside from four songs, just didn’t convince me at all...

Great album! But with the next Requiem, I think they really outdid themselves! 4.5/5!

Great review of an immense group!! I'm giving you four instead of five because you can't tell me that the version of Killer is worth all their albums put together.....it's too much!!!!

Sorry....I just noticed that your review only referred to the second disc of the album in question. Forget I said anything...
