Fripp, you said some absolutely true things about Peter Hammill!! He is the supreme singer of the anguish of the human soul. In my opinion, it's a life-changing listen. Furthermore, among the albums you mentioned, you forgot the magnificent World Record, which contains the stunning Meurglys III (of course.....:-)) and the wonderful Wondering. Two gems of the Hammillian universe, not to mention the great works he's done as a solo artist, see CHAMELEON IN THE SHADOW OF THE NIGHT and IN CAMERA...Hammill is a genius!!

It seems exaggerated to talk about "gentina" when referring to groups like Gentle Giant, ELP, Yes, and Genesis; groups that have made history in music as well as in prog. That His Majesty Fripp and his acolytes have always had a certain originality (just like the Van Der Graaf Generator of the great poet Hammill) is beyond doubt. But to speak of a level "widely" superior is, in my opinion, exaggerated. One only needs to remember titles like the self-titled album by Gentle Giant, Tarkus, Close to the Edge, and Selling England by the Pound… all milestones…

I think the same as Slim. It's the only album, along with Thrak, by King Crimson that I consider below par. Except for Cirkus, that's it. Unfortunately, I have to say that the rest isn't great at all.

Come on guys, I agree with the fixed 1 for Baglioni, lost as he is in his self-celebrations, but the review is really well done!! But how do his fans keep buying the same product over and over again? (because that's what it is, always live = always the same tune. If it were Eddie Vedder with his worthy companions, I could understand...)

Great review, just like the album, by the way. Of course, for me it's not their masterpiece; that is undoubtedly Siberia, but they are still the best Diaframma. The path that Fiumani has taken hasn't always convinced me. I think he has produced many mediocre works among a few peaks (Anni Luce, Il ritorno dei desideri..). It is undeniable, however, the coherence with his ideas that has led him to never accept the many courtesies of major record labels.
