Galakordi, so good music for you has to be innovative?? So 90% of the music produced since the birth of rock until now (without going too far back, then) is crap for you? In response to my statement, which you called idiotic, I’d like to counter with this concept: Do you know Yngwie Malmsteen?? An incredible guitarist, stunning technique....but then? He’s as cold as a razor blade (got the reference?) and therefore, no matter how good and innovative he might have been, he doesn’t convey much to me. Do you understand what I mean with that statement you called idiotic? That you also need to convey something to the listener, even beyond mere stylistic and technical aspects that I consider very important.

You're right. Whether I agree with it or not, I actually don't share it. I'm already annoyed by reviews from those who call others "sellouts." But sold out to what? Do you really think that anyone who makes music does it with the intent of being known only by four people, or do they aspire to be heard by as many people as possible? I can't stand discussions like: "Oh, they succeeded, so they've sold out..." But what does that even mean? Naturally, I was referring to the part where you talked about "sellout Samuel from Subsonica." I believe music should be divided into good quality music and bad quality music. In my opinion, Verdena belongs to the first group because, regardless of whether the bassist knows how to play or the singer has that open "E," their music conveys emotions, at least to me. Furthermore, technically and stylistically, the band has made significant progress, but you have to be open-minded to see it. I didn't like their first album either, I'm certainly not one of those die-hard fans. However, I am convinced that if the same work had been produced by an English or American band, many of those who criticize would be here shouting miracles and showering them with praise, I’m willing to bet on that.

Given that I agree with your statement about Fripp's chords, however, from a rhythmic standpoint, from a vocal standpoint, from the intertwining of Belew and Fripp's guitars, and from the inclusion of tribal percussion, the KC of Discipline are heavily indebted to the Talking Heads. Do you remember "Remain in Light"?
Genesis Invisible Touch

Of course, it stands out amid the chart trash of the time, but it remains the most mediocre thing produced by Genesis. When I think of tracks like Invisible Touch or Anything She Does, I get chills that are even colder than at the North Pole....
Now, let me jump in on Discipline, which in my opinion is the best KC album of the '80s. I believe that Beat and Three of A Perfect Pair, while still being very valid works, fall in line with the previous one, adding very little. However, we are still talking about great albums, mind you! Then a question for you, Arnold Layne: you say that Discipline is innovation, but don't you think it owes a lot to the lessons imparted by the Talking Heads? In my opinion, the influence is there and it's very evident...

@ Dodo: don't you love melancholic music? But why does Requiem seem like a burst of joy to you?

The name Blind Faith doesn’t mean anything??? Damn!! A supergroup, nothing less!! Really great album! I recommend getting it in the deluxe edition which includes a second disc of studio jams. But do you know who the girl on the cover is? She’s Ginger Baker’s daughter, who was only 11 years old at the time. By the way, the cover was censored in almost all countries.
