Bauhaus The Sky's Gone Out
Voto:
Another great album by Bauhaus; but we know that, right?! Just titles like Eno’s cover 'Third Uncle', the gothic romanticism of 'Silent Hedges', the grunge embryo in the punk memories of 'In the Night', the industrial sound in 'Swing the Heartache', and the melancholic lost beauty of 'All We Ever Wanted Was Everything'... In short, it’s a damn masterpiece—my favorite alongside the gothic manifesto 'In the Flat Field'.

Inquisitor, I have to agree with Mike76 on 'Exquisite corpse': a grotesque hallucination, as if the sky had disappeared.. ;)

The only thing I don't really appreciate about 'Spirit' is the somewhat rough production, but I still like it because it represents the more melodic and communicative side of Murphy and company - Also, the version of the music video is nice (check it out on YouTube).

In July, 'Zeitgeist' is coming out (a rather ambitious title), I just hope that Billy Corgan doesn't ruin the story of the Smashing and that it doesn't turn into yet another commercial reunion...

Oh yes, they and Interpol are among the few Rock certainties of these miserable years…

I prefer 'Funeral'; this remains a nice confirmation but is, inevitably, less spontaneous and more deliberate.

Obscene 'Down on the upside'?! Alright.. :D

Not to mention the sound apocalypse of 'Jesus Christ pose'...

And what do we want to say about the stunning 'Rusty Cage', covered by the great Cash?
