The Marzullo 'cinematographer' as a paradigm of nightmare in David Lynch: only a Genius could dare the unthinkable, that is to 'entrust' (or 'rent out'?!) a hypothetical broadcast on the Seventh Art to the big-headed, long-haired gwbigmarzullo. Then, the weekly appearance of the eternal mummy Rondi flirts quite a bit with necrophilia, and here we return to the initial discussion— a macabre joke, a distorted dream of lynchian memory; even Mario Bava would have appreciated it, perhaps with the presence of the 'iron virgin' in the studio... P.S.- However, I prefer the everyday life of the big rabbits and Polish whores.

'Joan Lui' is the pinnacle of Celentano as a preacher and megalomaniac... An absurd, crazy, ragged film like the ideas of its protagonist\creator\director; in this sense, 'masterpiece' and overflowing manifesto of the molleggiato-thought can also apply.
P.S. - From 'weirdo' maniac, the sculpt scene of Mori all wet in a nude look and breasts in the wind while our hero unleashes the apocalypse around... ;)
