If I have to listen to a bit of hard rock from the '70s, it’s always better Aerosmith than the mustache and company - at least they were more spontaneous. Moreover, even in glam there were those with a bit more or less style: 'a lux, would you really compare the image of a Bowie or Bolan to that of Queen?! :D

And then you would have something to say about 'Anesthetize'?! But it's magnificent, an epic mercurial suite played masterfully; 17 minutes of pathos that incubates psychedelia, metal, and darkness. Moreover, I believe it was Wilson's intention to create a work that feels more 'cold' (and gloomy) also for the leitmotif of FOABP, compared to the past..

To me, instead, I feel like crying ('My ashes' such a drag.. hmm, I hope DaveJon doesn’t read your post!). :o

'Mellon Collie' is a masterpiece of the '90s, a kaleidoscope of moods and different genres that only someone as great as Corgan could conceive. Those who deny it, or worse, trash it, are either acting in bad faith or trying to be 'cute'. Or both, and, more simply, they just don't get it at all.

I do, I do... Tyler and company, without many tricks, were able to create a street rock, dirty and 'toxic' (especially in 'Rocks') that those of 'Death on two legs' could only dream of, busy as they were with ostrich feathers, powder, and hairdresser visits. ;)

A bit fascist, Frank Miller, but just a little, you know.

Listen, some like vanilla and some like strawberry(!), but you'll realize that claiming 'PJ and SP make me weak, they are SHIT' is an extreme move; like Zucchero, who, looking scruffy and high, declares to all of Italy that HE is the blues, Vasco is rock, and Ramasciòtt (an ex-borgataro who speaks in Milanese, seriously..) is pop. In short, I don't care for Clapton or Guccini either, but I wouldn't say such CRAP.

'Anesthetize' reconciles you with an idea of Music beyond the vacuum of so much contemporary rock. There's a strong thought behind it, and Steven Wilson is really a musician with 'square balls'!! ;)

No Dave, I was asking for information since I know 'FOABP' and 'In absentia'..
So this great album too, right?
