Alan Moulder, Brendan O'Brien & Albini (despite 'Rid of Me'..) the most important producers in the rruock field in the last 20 years: and Rick Rubin has pretty much sold out, producing everything from Linkin Park to Justin Bieber.

I still believe that 'Ten' remains the most classic and 'heavy' PJ album, heavily indebted to the hard rock of the '70s. 'Vitalogy' and especially 'No Code' (my favorite) have much more personal arrangements. In some cases 'experimental', if we think about the traditional rock 'n' roll framework usually used by the Seattle band: 'Not for you', 'Bugs', 'Aye Davanita', 'Stupid Mop', 'Sometimes', 'Who You Are', 'I'm Open', and the formidable 'Present Tense'.
@don: I agree on the immortality of ballads like 'Black', 'Oceans', or the dreamy/epic madrigal 'Garden', but with O'Brien they wrote 'Daughter', 'Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town', 'Indifference', 'Better Man', 'Immortality', 'In My Tree', 'Off He Goes', and 'Around the Bend'... I wish we still had those PJ songs today! At this point, I can only hope for Eddie's solo work.

Recedes a bit too didactic for the masterpiece Scott\Dick.

I don't know man, 'Ten' is great but it has that cheesy watermark that makes it a bit 'metal' in the production..
And anyway, for me, there's really no competition between Brendan O'Brien and Parashar: for the sound always 'warm'
and compact, genuine ('vintage', if that’s not a bad word..) and for the number of great records produced.

But what a great movie, if you watch 'The Phantom of the Opera'... :)

3 stars for the age & courage in tackling such a cinematic work, the most accomplished and cynical reflection on 'violence' of all time.
