Sanjuro, it’s true, I probably don’t have the knowledge you have regarding the subject. However, I want to share with you that ever since I was a child, I grew up (besides classical music) with rock. I’ve always listened to the early bands; before discovering Tallica, I listened for years to the Purple, Pink Floyd, Emerson Lake & Palmer (not just hard rock, mind you!), etc. Later, I got to know bands like Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath. I’ve only been listening to metal for just over a year; I started with Iron Maiden (who is now my favorite band) and then moved on to Metallica, Blind Guardian, and gradually began to follow other metal bands. I certainly didn’t start listening to Metallica because I saw them on MTV (a channel I’ve only received for a few years, and I rarely watch). And if you look at the comment I left on the album S.Anger, you’ll see that I considered it a major commercial flop. I’m not saying whether it’s right or wrong to download commercial music onto your iPod (I myself have S.Anger on mine), but I’m fully aware that Metallica is no longer what they used to be. I realize that they earn in one day more than an average middle-class person can earn in a lifetime, but honestly, I couldn’t care less. Which artist today doesn’t enjoy life (having the financial means to do so, of course), even if not at the levels of these four geniuses whose creativity has gone to waste? I don’t share your viewpoint in certain respects, but I do agree with you on others. But find me a metal band (Blind Guardian aside) that hasn’t followed in the footsteps of Metallica or Iron Maiden. Almost all rock music today is based on these great bands. And certainly, Metallica has ā€œinventedā€ an entirely new genre. Tell me what you think. BYE!

One who stands by Vic is always on the wrong side. Let's not forget that people remember much more easily those who annoy society (as "waste of society"; and on that note, dear VIC and supporters: have you ever read the essay by Guido Viale on "the society of waste and the waste of society" - something like that anyway... I found it really useful and interesting, a homage to Viale! -? No, because otherwise I'm sure you would certainly find yourselves in that book, most likely under the chapter that deals with radioactive waste, where Viale explains very well how it's impossible to get rid of such waste. With this, I don't want to compare the dear supporters of Vic and him to these terrible wastes, but I want to compare these wastes to the idiots that the aforementioned are. Plastic idiots! A normal idiot, once dead and buried, decomposes... you, even once buried, will always remain idiots. And if you tried to burn yourselves, you would realize you are even bigger idiots, since your idiocy would expand into the air and reach the whole world. Nothing is created and nothing is destroyed, one of the fundamental principles of chemistry!)

For me, Dickinson has always been the best of the group. It's also fantastic how he interprets the songs from albums he didn't participate in. However, I believe Paul has a truly amazing voice for the pseudopsychodelic songs (forgive me for the stretch) of Killers. Regarding the first album, I agree that "Phantom Of The Opera" is truly metal, and that the album itself was the first in metal history, but let's not forget that it was "Prowler" that launched the maidens! I found the review to be really pathetic. It felt thrown together. Perhaps you could have taken what you published as a starting point and expanded on it, adding elements and writing it in a more suitable way. What about Number? It’s certainly one of Maiden's best (definitely my favorite!). The only flaw is Bruce's voice, which still needed to "bloom"... still, there’s a noticeable improvement in the singer's vocal performances, album after album, up to "A Matter Of Life And Death," where the voice is simply at its peak (clean, perfectly in tune!). Clearly, this argument holds as long as we don’t take into account the recording methods from the '80s to today. Long live "THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST"!

Come on, let’s not insult him anymore, he must already feel pretty stupid as it is... someone who writes stuff like this (and in such a way) can only feel that way. Hello frustrated Vic!

Well, you hit the nail on the head. Besides, I don't live in Italy, and I'm just a poor broke student... well, some sacrifices have to be made... I prefer to spend money on concerts rather than on booze on the weekend. Unfortunately, I realize this too late... I don't have money for that anymore either, hehe :s

Rome... Alright Venice, if I'm away for the entire duration of the festival, but for just one concert it’s really too far from Rome for me... (even if it's Iron!!!)

No.. However, it's not that I'm not interested in Sabbath and Theader (on the contrary!), but honestly, I'm more interested in the Jammin in Venice...

Milan? Yes, it's almost 2 hours from where I live, but the last time I slept in the morning for... I don't know... anyway, until late.

Mega Hard!!! I would have liked to review this one, but I saw there's already a review... anyway, the two most exciting moments are when the guitarist kicks off with the opening riff of Burn at the beginning of the concert and then when the drummer launches into that formidable and lengthy solo, supported by a sensational audience cheering him on! But when he throws the sticks,...

But fuck, sorry, the comment was meant for the DVD "Live In The Still Of The Night." But 1987 is also fantastic..
