Robert Wyatt Rock Bottom

Remarkable, despite Ondarock's undervaluation due to its carelessness (perhaps stemming from being a site written by semi-professionals). On the album, any comment is unnecessary.

Well, I agree with the others above. Regarding Alia: I don’t think it can be considered rock; the good Blech described it beautifully by saying (if I remember correctly) that it has no time, it could have been made at any time and in any place. This is to say that perhaps you need to listen to it without expecting to hear a rock album.

But what is this? Maybe it's me who can't understand it. In the meantime, one.

Nice, not to be compared to Maggot nor to Standing on the verge (in my opinion, not even free your mind holds up, but that can be debated). Descriptive review.

@Geenoo: obviously I didn't mean to offend anyone, just to be clear. The albums you mentioned I've listened to, but apart from Nebraska, they didn't particularly "hit me," as Tatangelo would say. I think it's a matter of how rock is interpreted; I'm not saying this isn't rock, I'm just saying it's a type of rock that I find quite lightweight. In short, for me the best rock album I've heard so far is Exile on Main Street, which is obviously very different in style from these.

You're always great, and obviously competent in this specific field. Maybe this time the writing stumbles a bit, but that's okay. Regarding Springsteen, I almost completely agree with vitols' comment, and I add that I don't find him rock at all (and believe me, I listen to a lot of rock). Perhaps he plays a "different" kind of rock, heavily American (and how could it be otherwise?), but I find it a bit light; it never has that spark that makes me "enter" the song.
