Cute receipt. March, I think you are confusing it with "The Battle of Evermore" by Led, where Danny also sings.

A big thank you to everyone who attended. MARCH: I understand your hesitations, but this isn’t strictly tied to a "genre," which can be country, or rock n roll, or rockabilly. Rather, it is an album that has a bit of everything, with simply great songs. // ARIES: the cover is truly hideous, you’re right... // WHITE: I don’t know that album, so I can’t make comparisons. In any case, here Cash and Orbison are the ones with the best voices. // LAO: I didn’t quite understand your comment, but in any case, I don’t feel like comparing these guys to Little Tony or Bobby only at Sanremo, not at all.

@LAO, shouting, knocking down, and burping is totally fine, but I’ve always talked about songs, not attitude, let alone technical value. Anyway, it’s still okay, we simply have two different opinions.

Among other things, it's not about discussing who knows how to play and who doesn't, like Matteodi.Leonar used to do, because that's missing the point. It's obvious that the MC5 didn't play like the Allman Brothers, but that's not the point, because it's not as if someone automatically possesses the "fire of rock n roll" (that overused phrase) just because they're incapable of playing and create a huge racket. It's also true that they were "proto-punk," but I'm not so sure that they influenced the musical scene. The MC5 were famous at the time of their debut because they were the "protégés" of John Sinclair, among other things the founder of the White Panther Party. Then people started to notice them for the rage in their performances. But over time, that rage disappears, and what's left are the songs. Songs that, in fact, are not exceptional.

look, there are plenty of reviews like this on Debaser, for quite a few years now, among other things.

but come on with the same old politically correct phrases, just because we've always been told that this live is amazing we have to praise it... I respect opinions, of course, I believe all ideas are shareable. But to impose that this is one of the coolest live performances, no. I'm not talking about sound, I said it before, just about songs that don't seem that great to me. If instead we want to evaluate an album based on how much noise a band can make, well, there are plenty of foundries around.
