Years ago, ohm the early gurus of electronic music 1948-1980 was released, a 3 CD set that's a bit pricey but a great collection.

Oh for goodness' sake, I've already told you, you write well but I don't like your style. That said, I can't deny you a 5. I have the album on my computer, and I've listened carefully to Stormcock, which is quite outside the norms even for the same genre (yours and others). Acoustic greetings.

geeno, look, if it wasn't clear, I'm on the side of the "terrible eighties," also because I would have been born in that era :) essùmettiappostoqueldùeddai!! hi korrea and soulman, it’s great to see you around here. About the 2006 album mentioned by ima, I think I read the review by socrates, and it spoke highly of it. At this point, I’ll look for it too.

Yeah, well, the Italian in the comment above is optional, I guess I'll go for private lessons with some hot girl.

Well, I thank everyone who participated; it's really nice to see so many comments, even though I certainly don't have a continuity that would frighten anyone. A special thanks to Barracuda and his immense knowledge (I sometimes feel it's truly wasted here on Debasio, but maybe not), you filled in the many gaps in the review with precise notes that I wouldn't have imagined. I think the comparison with Jackson is valid for the inspiration that Garthside may have drawn from him in singing and arrangements, even if they are indeed different from Thriller. Lao, as usual, you and I don't see eye to eye :) but there's mutual respect, and that's enough. Regarding the "commercial" discussion raised here, I find myself aligning with Lao and Barra; after listening to too much music, I believe I've managed to "broaden" and soften my judgments and appreciate an album even if it's distinctly, overtly, and unabashedly commercial like this one. If I can make a comparison that comes from reading Reynolds (where I discovered this group and many others, like JDV), I would feel inclined to link them to the first two albums of Dexys Midnight Runners; for them too, the second was a big commercial success that was initially desired and later strongly rejected, also due to their own love/hate relationship and constant balancing act between purism and the masses (but then, where is the line?). Salùt!

extro, the last petshop I listened to quite a bit until a couple of weeks ago, now I have it on standby in my mp3 player. Anyway, really cool, they have a bit of a unique sound for my tastes, but they really deserve it. The album rocks, just like you said, although I can't compare it because it's the first one of theirs that I've heard. Any suggestions for others? Very?

But you know, I'm almost thinking of looking for it? I'm in the mood these days.
