Nice review, Silvietto. I haven't listened to the album because I've always heard bad things about it; if Ima says it’s worth a shot, I might lend an ear. In any case, aside from the experiments with Stomu Yamash'ta (great lineup but not a great album, or at least that’s how it seemed to me), I really enjoyed the pop of "Arc of a Diver," a bit less "Back in the High Life," with some nice highlights in "About Time" from 2003 – an album that was highly praised in magazines. In any case, unconditional love always for this man: how can you not be moved when witnessing a performance of "John Barleycorn" with just guitar and voice in front of a crackling fireplace, with a voice that’s both sandpaper and velvet that could move mountains?

I'll tell you, Jerry, I've never heard Fabi's soloists, in fact as I said I haven't really heard anything from these three on their own. However, I found the album - perhaps for this reason - to be beautifully "full" of substance and with quite a bit to say, always through their lens, of course. De gustibus!

Hello everyone! Thanks for the nice comments. I'm just stepping in to encourage you to check out the last two albums by Angelini - who collaborated with the trio, and you can definitely hear it - "La vista concessa" and "Phineas Gage." For me, it's a great discovery, especially since I usually wade through my prejudices (did you get that?? :D); the fact is that in this reviewed album and the others, I've found so much sincerity that I struggle to hear elsewhere.
