Novastar Never Back Down (Singolo)

..and after having a happy insight while reviewing a new band, before the supermarket speakers blast our poor Siamese, let’s not be ashamed of such audacity in signaling them, returning to the safety of our beloved pinkf. The pinks are here and will always remain; it doesn’t take courage to name them. It's a matter of principle, not because the Novastar are the new who knows who. Anyway, courage to look ahead.

But for heaven's sake, spare me the wonderful duet between Bono and Mary J. Blige, please! "One," a song certainly not among the best of U2, even though I fully understand its excellent mechanism of "popular appeal" (it wasn't that bad, after all, on first listens, but with the usual "catchy" problem that breaks the..), isn't particularly enjoyable in certain circumstances, in other words, it can't be listened to. A bad autocover of a decent-not-great U2 song with the added aggravation of being a radio hit.

for the review, in short. Anyway, a 3 out of respect, especially for pointing out an excellent song, no matter what some "purists" say. As for the review, I don't understand the "nothing excites me..." part, but it's a song, not a complex classical or rock work divided into numerous movements or a film made up of numerous scenes; it's just a beautiful song. Let's not get carried away by the usual pseudo-intellectual snobbery. It works, it conveys, it's unique. The problem is with the radios that play it to the point of nausea, a fate of many beautiful songs, sometimes even brilliant, that then become irritating hits...

I grew up with this album, alongside other monuments like the wall of roses, the empire of queens, the highway to hell…

good review, precise, not verbose, okay! The album is not bad, definitely not the best, but even if it were their worst, it's still well above the average of the prevailing rot. I agree about ashes to ashes, very very tasty!! I miss faith too, but maybe it's for the best. They might have ended up like so many pathetic former legendary bands, perhaps.
