Domenico, I appreciate the passion that shines through your review, but in my humble opinion, you should tone down your praises that come across more as a fan than as a ā€œsimpleā€ and good reviewer. Delve deeper into the critique and the technical and conceptual analysis of this work by PT. Forgive me for this note; however, I agree with the enthusiasm conveyed by "Up The..". I find myself posting these meager lines because after almost 20 years, I had the chance to listen to this masterpiece again.

...oops! I added one VISTO too many in my comment.
Anyway, despite the mentioned mistake, Hellring, you wrote a nice review.
If the film is deserving of it, I'll let you know as soon as I have a spare moment to dedicate to it.

The review is well written, but I must join all those who, before me, have rightly pointed out much older films that already dealt with such themes. Claiming that this is the first film to do so is a significant historical error in cinematic terms; it’s a big mistake, so make sure to do your research before emphasizing certain beliefs. The film, despite me not being very young, I have never seen, although I certainly know of it by reputation. For the correct thematic chronology, I reiterate the titles already mentioned by those who have come before me, if I'm not mistaken all from 1970!!! "A Man Called Horse" with the great Richard Harris, the brutal "Soldier Blue," and "Little Big Man" with a young Dustin Hoffman, all cornerstones of the denunciation Western.

Elected, whether you speak well or poorly about it, as long as you talk about it, the desire to create a media case is exactly what they wanted to generate pure and simple advertising and more money, in a decidedly quicker way than just word-of-mouth like "not a bad movie," for those who obviously didn’t despise it. By the way, I’m not talking about a masterpiece, think of Shining for example, but I believe it’s an honest film, good for genre lovers. Of course, it’s not dishonest and worthless like, I repeat again, The Blair Witch Project, which was entirely based on media promotion. We would definitely do better even filming with a webcam.

ps: I add, Norton, very good, still has to pedal, as it should be, to reach a monster like De Niro.

I hadn't read the posts; I like Norton, but comparing him to DE NIRO... He is definitely one of the best of his generation, and he might become even more versatile, more transformative than Bob. For example, I really appreciated him in The Score in the role of a disabled person, but our dear Bob has, among his many talents, one fundamental thing for an actor: the face. This doesn't mean that Ed doesn't have an actor's face, but Robert De Niro's face has something more charismatic, without getting into the practically monstrously perfect acting technique. As for the film, I reiterate my judgment: it's watchable, it fills the time, but the masterpieces are elsewhere; nonetheless, it can be useful as a moral lesson.
