This is true, if you consider Allen's dialogues somewhat bare. Anyway, I’m not interested if MORANDINI or MEREGHETTI praise it. If you read the reviews, and this applies to Iris Blond as well, Gerini has shown a certain—unexpected—talent. Then, if I may say, Verdone is no fool and subjects his "employees" to (not trivial) casting, and believe me, he knows how to choose well. If there is a form of dignified Italian comedy today, it is certainly that of Verdone, who relies on capable actors and does not pick leftover cabaret performers, but people who have done theater or have experience behind them. Pivetti is also reassuring, and paradoxically, the least credible (despite having years of theater behind her) is Mascoli.
