Miles Davis Blue Moods

I’m giving my opinion. With the bass very prominent and the vibraphone effect, the sound of the album has a particular and intense body, intriguing. When I’m in the right mood, it really grabs me with its slowness, its rocking, its romantic dark interludes. This work stands alone as well. Miles has rewritten himself a thousand times. And then I felt like raising your grade.

but no, I adore you odra. I was speaking in the plural to also cover the dismay of happypippo who protested in previous posts. there are really only a few people with whom to exchange opinions on jazz, and you are one of those I would always wish to be around. truly, it’ll be 5-6 people, but at least with these, one can share opinions and tips on a topic that is really difficult to discuss given the acquaintances I have... so, long live debaser.

I quote verbatim: "Holland is not a discoverer of new sounds, he has never contributed to the expansion of the language of his instrument, and he doesn't have any particular talent as a composer or arranger." This nothingness that you don't agree with is the real issue, isn't it? The rest is just a matter of record... thank you for the clarifications, but I won't change my opinion on Holland. Be careful, I'm not speaking ill of him; the rating I gave is my mistake, it happens often, 4 stars, for heaven's sake, 4 stars. Now I'll leave a 5 to average it out!!!

I’ll give my opinion. There are very Hollywood-like episodes. It's orchestral jazz, with pleasant and melancholic moments that evoke, so to speak, hints of western atmospheres. This is an album from the very early '60s that doesn’t have any particular peaks, but it doesn’t detract either because, in my opinion, it manages to convey the era in which it has its roots very well. It paints a well-defined period, a "space," and with its influences (vaguely South American), while not being definitive in its insights, it has colorful and engaging ideas. It’s curious that all this comes from Davis, who, supported by Evans, does not betray his style; on the contrary, he affirms his eclecticism.

So if you're a pain in the ass and also picky, I like you because I am too. I didn’t want to seem presumptuous for "writing" to Monk, but I was looking for a review with "impact." I hate being called approximate because I always take the time to document myself before I shoot off, given that I want to write very seriously about jazz.
