Paolo, I don’t like how you open and close the reviews. But it’s your style, what can I say. I liked the rest, except the outburst about Allen. It would do you good to watch a few of his old films. At least 3 per film because the old Italian comedies from the '80s have always relaxed me.

Count. Are you kidding?? Of course I know him. I prefer this one. Look, I reply to your emails, but I'm not clear on why you’re not receiving them. Anyway, I confirm that I received MLP6. Bye.
Pat Metheny With Lyle Mays & Nanà Vasconcelos As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls

@ jakechambers: just so you know, the reference was to Mays, the keyboardist, and possibly to this temporary percussionist of Pmg. A different conversation is needed for Pat. Conte never claimed anything about Metheny. Re-read the post carefully. To make any definitive statement about Pat, as a fan, I would prefer to wait another twenty years.

You know, at this point we might as well discuss it. Great reception (the premise is exquisite, ok the subsequent analysis), an impressive album (in terms of content), but there are things I would have liked to read more about and some less. I won’t go into detail in my post, I just want to say that I don’t feel the masterpiece in it. You’re being generous. Pepper's abilities are absolutely not in question (actually, look at what the hell he was capable of!), but it’s a rather cool amalgam. The individual talents shine through, but sometimes they seem more about showing off than supporting the group. I hope I’m being clear. Here, Pepper was young and cocky, still in the pre-fame phase. Still a standout, it's definitely worth having something from him.

here's another "fusionist" multi-instrumentalist with guts. good job.

@ count: I would adjust the aim... rather than jazz, I would write fusion, but even in that case, you have to reckon with Zawinul and the like, plus Steps Ahead, etc. etc. The quality of Mays is indisputable, as he is a very valid performer, good as a composer, but not memorable. As for Nana... perhaps it’s a bit daring... let’s say that (by transitive property) he is quite important.

@ jazz prog: it needs to be deduced. I think it's better to write it directly. @jakechambers: correct interpretation. at least in my case, the effect is no longer the same after years of listening (tastes evolve in some way).
