Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy

With my vote for the album, I’ll probably jeopardize the goodwill of many. What can I say? I certainly won’t be the one to write the first serious and cold (not hot) review of this album, which has been received with too much noise from fans frothing at the mouth, and too much sloppiness from detractors who shoot it down a priori.
For me, this is a GN'R album. Absolutely GN'R. It’s a pity the others aren't here, but maybe they deserve to stay where they are now, making similar free-punk-rn'r-semiblues nonsense.
Is this album solely Axl’s? This album sounds GN'R; there are new components, but it doesn’t really matter because the product clearly bears the mark. And I’ve seen them live. I can say that I paradoxically prefer this band, made up of calm people with a very human approach to the audience, compared to what GN'R were before. The time that has passed still marks the pages of history (blame it or not) that GN'R has been able to write in the annals of those who changed something in the history of rock.
If I had to find a flaw in the album, perhaps there’s a creativity, a capacity to really make us feel something new, that only emerges at times. Other than that, this is the actual return of GN'R, in a completely revamped lineup, but with the soul in the same right place as always. There’s nothing in this album that doesn’t make you think of the GN'R sound. It’s not some bullshit like Metallica or other crap that comes from trying to insert washed-up bands into the new sound eras. This album is consistent, probably a bit overlaid with effects (I've already come to terms with that), but it's an album as it should be. I was very concerned about it, and instead, it surprised me. The songs I heard live had already hinted at it. Good for them for sure, and for those who appreciate the album while listening to it. I know that fans who see it like I do have certainly managed to feel that bouquet of strong emotions that came with the first listen of the other works by Guns.
As for the review, if I could give it zero, I would, for the simple fact that you will have heard something distant and incompatible with the version of the album currently on the market. Practically, this writing qualifies the author for what a reviewer shouldn’t be. Stylistic issues aside.

Massimo Carlotto & Mama Sabot Perdas De Fogu
Voto:
Carlotto does not disappoint. Another excellent work in its genre. Good review.

Reluctantly giving one for the review. I don't do this for any reason of censorship of the author or for similar things, or without having read it. The sentences are poorly structured. And then, there’s nothing unconscious about it. It’s all manifestly thrown out there before your eyes. Take it or leave it as it is. I’ll take it, even if not wholeheartedly. Don’t hold it against me for the rating, mourning, I still appreciated the attempt to argue well and to put some meat on the fire (even though I disagree with the contents), but the first characteristic of a review is readability. And this one does not flow well at all, in my opinion.

Almost perfect review (but still a 5) for my favorite movie by one of my favorite directors.

But since I don't mind your work anyway, for the way you wrote the review, I’ll round up the score.

I agree with supersoul on the review. The film is really funny and well made. For me, it deserves a 5.
Down Down III: Over the Under

Unfortunately, the review doesn’t evoke hilarity for me. If you buy the Down album, educate yourself first. There is no equation Anselmo = Pantera. This album is solid and rocky, me gusta mucho.

More derecensors like this. More censorship for records (and bands) like this.

The first review of this album that I’m commenting on. Honest and well-written. Well done. The record sucks just as much as the author does.
