Because you, on the other hand, knew Albini better, right? You had anal relations, you spent Sunday afternoons talking about this and that,...

And Steve Albini is sitting in his solid gold villa in Bel Air, getting jerked off by his black slaves and wiping his nose with cash. But please, so much devotion to such a shitty character like this (it's true I didn't know him, but after reading his Wikipedia page, I got a pretty good idea. We're talking about levels of Puff Daddy here).

Indeed, in '76, Rising and Sad Wings of Destiny were released, which were Hard Rock albums with slightly metal sounds in their nascent form. Metal was not even on the horizon in '76.

They went all out in the studio, but the live versions were even more breathtaking (in the pulled pieces). If you take Bohemian Rhapsody (I don't know if that's how it’s spelled), it's obvious that it's impossible to perform, but other bands also avoided certain tracks because they were impossible to do live. Being excellent in the studio doesn't mean being sloppily in live performances. I recall the overdubs of the synths by Yes: back then, the synths were monophonic and live the effect was different, but it didn't detract from the music.

"Albini is primarily active as a producer, but he dislikes this term and prefers to be referred to as a recording engineer. Contrary to what usually happens, Albini does not receive royalties for his recordings. Albini has estimated his appearance as a sound technician on over 1000 albums; the fact that he doesn't receive money endorses him astronomically, making his million-dollar earnings multiply. It’s like when Bono donates a billion to charity and calls the BBC to witness it; in this way, what he loses in charity, he gains in publicity. If Steve Albini doesn’t want royalties, it doesn’t seem necessary to trumpet it around, as has been done."

"Steve Albini (born July 22, 1962, in Pasadena, California) is an influential singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and music critic. He is one of the founders of bands like Big Black and Rapeman and is still a member of Shellac. He is also the founder of the company Electrical Audio, which operates two recording studios in Chicago" molto interessante, ma preferisco Pupo.

Almost all Americanized nonsense. In first view, MTV is teeming with a certain mishmash.

Yes, Riccardo relies on the Queen sold in the early '80s, but he overlooks the existence of White Queen, Father to Son, and many other delights. They are also essential for the development of much metal (the cover of "Stone Cold Crazy" by Metallica?).

Lisa Germano, Morphine, My Bloody Valentine, all very forgettable and all very little influential. What do they have to offer to posterity? They are all niche names; if I didn't have the internet, I would ignore their existence. The others I'll let you have, but with much less significance; they are all bands of fucking hired guns and perfectionists, I don't see any chemistry. It's not bad music, but I certainly wouldn't call it miraculous.
