For me, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is superior to "Evil Dead": while in the latter we only talk about the supernatural, in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" there is, above all, a true story in the background (which makes it even scarier), and then the psychology of the film is deeper: there’s a better handling of the tension factor, and the jump scares are more justified. In "Evil Dead," some things are a bit left to chance, and if we want to be honest, it’s a more naive film (even though I appreciate it a lot).

Not bad La Casa1, but I think "Non aprite quella porta" is better. In my opinion, the Italian horror of that period was superior; I mean, films like Zeder, Inferno, Tenebre, L'Aldilà, Cannibal Holocaust, La Casa Dalle finestre che ridono, Suspiria, almost all of Bava's films,... All of them had incredibly original ideas; they might have been a bit short on budget, but I believe that in terms of content, Italian horror (the auteur kind, not those trashy Z-movie rip-offs like Bloody Psycho, etc.) is the best (for me).

A little movie for a night out at the cinema, moreover, not a little inspired by the masterpiece of Mario Bava, "Reazione a Catena" WHICH I HAVE ALSO REVIEWED.

Alright blackdog, '87, '85, more or less we're there. The underground of every era produces good stuff, but damn, in '74 you could still find good music at the top of the charts. In the mid-'80s, there were Madonna, Boy George, that pedophile with the fake skin, and a lot of other crap.

Come on, '74 was a great year: The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Sheer Heart Attack, Queen II, Relayer, RED, Contrappunti (Le Orme), Rock Bottom, Burn, and so many other masterpieces. As my friend Cristo says, 1987 was one of the worst years for music (Well, The Joshua Tree was released, but still?). Can you believe I still have to hear about it...

Truly a great album.

I don't agree. This record deserves a 3.5, it's true that Moon sometimes really seems to not understand what he's playing, but in the end it's overall a good result. And then those synthesizers here and there are the trademark of The Who, so...

Overrated? But it has been in oblivion for decades with no one paying it any attention...

And if Manuel Agnelli is the shining star of Italian music, then let's not be surprised by what is produced here in Italy...
