David Gilmour looked like Claudio Bracchino with long hair. Rather, DaveJonGilmour, who is that in the photo on your profile?

Pretazzo, you're great; reading some of your comments, I discovered that you rated Queen's Jazz a 4. So why argue like we did? Anyway, aside from that, I find you annoying...

Deep Purple were a great band. All metal bands should thank them. Now it will come out that metal belongs to Black Sabbath: not only that, fast rhythms and loud screams are from the Purple.

Know-it-all, my response was to a question you didn't even see. Anyway, yes, maybe it's best to stop. Here there are some old-timers who really don’t want to hear about dialogue and cling to every possible and imaginable nonsense to stir up trouble...

Oh my God, it’s not like I said to set fire to the sixty-eight communists guitar-vocal style. I just said that a few stood up for themselves and the others did it because it was trendy. Mariaelena, please don’t go, you're the only one with boobs here, I beg you stay, STAY!

But nothing special, it’s just that like all phenomena of the time, they gradually became trends, you know. Three are to be admired because they did it first and with real spirit, the other 2000 jumped on the bandwagon because it was fashionable. For example, you can't compare a Country Joe to a Bob Dylan: one invented his own style (Dylan), the other poorly copied it. I have nothing to say about Dylan, Baez, etc., but I could go on and on about the others.

Here are my judgments sylvian1982, I will express myself with a YES, a NO, a MAYBE, and a NOT SURE: BEATLES YES, BOB DYLAN YES (I know him little), ROLLING STONES YES, DAVID BOWIE YES (the one from the '70s) NO (the rest), JIMI HENDRIX YES, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN NOT SURE (MAYBE), NEIL YOUNG (I only have Harvest: I don’t dislike it but it doesn’t excite me too much), VELVET UNDERGROUND & LOU REED MAYBE (NOT SURE), FRANK ZAPPA YES (even if I don’t have his latest works), U2 NO (and don’t say I haven’t listened to them, because when I was little my aunt would tear apart my testicles’ tissue with these U2: my body suffers if I listen to them), R.E.M. NO (and then again NO) / SMITHS MAYBE (they don’t say anything to me: too cold and detached) / CURE NO (they take away my will to live).

Scaruffi is an isolated case; he is not the history of music. For him, Deep Purple are the scum, can you believe it...
