well fuck, in the meantime, no one can take this 5 away from this review! I'm not a big fan of Fenriz, both musically and personally, so I don't know this album, but it seems interesting from the premises; I might get the other one instead. If you appreciate the musician, I recommend another of his parallel projects, Dodheimsgard, especially the first one, Kronet Til Konge, where he plays the bass, excellent. still, congratulations.

ah ah aha ahahhahahahahhahahah!!!! I figured out who you are! You're that guy who came to trash the review I did of Cradle of Filth's "Cruelty and the Beast" just because you didn't like the score I gave: and all you can come up with is this track by track nonsense? You’d better bow out of the site, honestly, you have no future as a musical visionary ahahahahaha look at who’s hanging around on this site, how far we’ve fallen....

Congratulations on the new (yet another) change to the site: now we have the worst version that could possibly exist... congratulations again!

Aborym Generator

Great album, in my opinion a level below Fire Walk with Us!, but still a masterpiece; the review is full of apt references; it could have said a bit more about the lyrics and imagery, while I think the comparison with Void of Silence was a bit too flattering, as Aborym still lacks that typical genius of the Ostian scene.

great review. thanks for the death wish, but good things always happen to others.

Sorry, I misunderstood, but "Nemesis Divina" is not a symphonic black metal album; otherwise, Burzum would also fall into that category. The keyboards don't make it symphonic.

I answer you right away: to say that nothing good has come out in the black metal scene after "Nemesis Divina" is an insult to Xasthur, Nortt, Paysage d'Hiver, Vinterriket, Drudkh, Nargaroth, who have released (along with hundreds of other bands) works on the same level as the Norwegian ones. As for symphonic black, it has produced some good stuff, with bands like Troll, Drudkh, etc.; the only thing is that it’s a subgenre that has been losing interest. Dark ambient is still very much alive, it just fused with black in a more intelligent way, like Nortt, Vinterriket, and Paysage d'Hiver.

thank you very much sotanaht, for this and for the other comment. Indeed, Emperor are a rare band; I believe only Burzum has composed so many great albums one after another (not Darkthrone, Satyricon, Mayhem...). Then again, everyone has their own tastes, but I think that even the albums they've been putting out lately were worth the purchase unlike the legendary bands that have really gone downhill.. bye!
