comprehensive and complete review: I see no reason for a lynching, given that the rating is fair: anyone who considers this record crap can easily deduct two stars (for technique and production), which are quite unnecessary; those who love it (i.e., the posers) can easily add two. the first part of sorgens kammer is missing, if I understood correctly, because it was a plagiarism by the keyboardist at the expense of the music from an Amiga game: realizing this only after a lawsuit, the band recorded the album omitting that part.

Pop music is entertainment music; it has nothing to do with culture, genius, or revolutionizing anything. It's always in motion because it must change to avoid stagnation, but deep down, it has remained the same for twenty years (just look at Michael Jackson and Britney Spears). Since pop is not cultured music, it can't be reviewed objectively either. And by pop, I don't mean MTV music, but that pop-dance-rap style typical of the last ten years. Sure, you could talk about genius when thinking of Prince, who does pop-rock, a genre that is indeed noble and important. To compare a pedophile to a persecuted genius of science like Galileo is deserving of the death penalty...
