The Morandini, the Mereghetti, and all these SHITTY critics are paid to say that Jim Carrey is an actor who can only pull faces like a mongoloid, but it has to be said that when Mereghetti goes to the movies to trash Ace Ventura... when nobody is watching, at the back of the theater... HE LAUGHS! he laughs with the audience.. and inside he’ll say "how the hell does he move like that.. what a phenomenon.. this is a genius of comedy" but then when they leave the cinema, they all go back to doing their own jobs.. and he goes back to being what he is, the critic who snubs certain little movies, so he’ll say "useless and vulgar character, a bad copy of Jerry Lewis." Besides, I think Morandini and Mereghetti are critics that should not be taken seriously as critics at all. Jim Carrey is simply a brilliant character, who managed to recover the lesson of Jerry Lewis by overturning and emphasizing its characteristics; if in Lewis the grimace was an accessory (as someone said), in Carrey the grimace is the goal! But this takes nothing away from his genius. Take Little Tony.. he’ll dress like Elvis.. he’ll be an emulator of Elvis.. but damn.. he’s extremely UNIQUE! No Elvis will ever be like Little Tony! Got it? Nobody! :-) :-))

Poletti, if you want, let’s talk about "Citizen Kane" first and then about "Particular Signs: Beautiful," then we can talk about "2001: A Space Odyssey" and then about "Dumb and Dumber." They are called DIFFERENT GENRES. Pretending to be an intellectual (Fake... very fake... someone who glorifies The Simpsons and takes himself so seriously feels like a huge fake) by fixating only on one genre is pointless. When watching "2001: A Space Odyssey," one dwells on the technical excellence, the endless messages the director wants to convey, the spectacular cinematography, and the metaphysical discussions. Talking about bingo bongo... you simply admire Celentano entertaining by being himself... with his bouncy mimics and his ticks. Cinema is not just about the serious stuff; you can't only talk about Battleship Potemkin (I'm proud not to know how to spell the title). Sometimes you need to not take yourself too seriously and have the courage to say, "It's a crazy load of nonsense," and have a good laugh with Franco Franchi moving his scalp up and down. Have a good laugh, Poletti! I get more emotional with Chaplin than I laugh! "Modern Times" - "The Great Dictator" - "The Gold Rush" you know... it's not that I laugh that much... I get moved! Because it's poetry! If I want to laugh... Jim Carrey works better! And now... intellectual Debaserian... close the curtains too! But do it in a very limited way. Open your mind.

Dear Poletti, perhaps your "intellectual man of de-baser" behavior has gotten to your head! First of all, I would never dream of trashing a GENIUS like Jerry Lewis! I believe I said that Carrey HAS NOT SURPASSED Lewis in genius! And of course not! But if there have been comparisons between the two characters... there’s a reason for that! If you don’t see any comparison, it means you haven’t put them side by side... so where has your intellectuality gone? Watch the old black-and-white comedy sketches of Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin... that’s where Jim Carrey practiced in front of the mirror to learn facial mimicry, there are moments where Jerry Lewis's facial expressions and behaviors are almost IDENTICAL!!!!! Now... it doesn't seem like I've thrown dirt on Lewis, but I also don't want to do it on Carrey, who has been told that he’s a poor copy of Jerry! A load of crap! Lewis didn’t rely entirely on mimicry, while Carrey focuses almost 90% of his comedy on it. So on a level of cartoonish physicality, Carrey has completely transformed the character he was inspired by and exaggerated it... when I say that even Lewis couldn’t entertain for an hour and a half SOLELY based on grimaces, it doesn’t mean he’s crap! It means that Carrey has revolutionized and in a sense "improved" the aspect of physical entertainment, a student who has brought something "different" and personal compared to his master. The fact remains that the comparison between the two can be made, and how!! I don't seem to have praised the film... Ace Ventura is terrible! Dear Poletti... he may be "crazy" but I’ve seen more OLD films than you think... and the exaltation of today’s movies... leave that to the real little ones! You mentioned Celentano... that Celentano you so undervalue... that Celentano who won a Jerry Lewis impersonation contest before becoming famous, that Celentano who was given crummy films but who, beyond the crappy movies he made, has always shown great entertaining abilities with excellent facial mimicry and physical movements... very, very underrated by intellectual de basers like you. Come on... don’t be too critical at all costs. Watch "King for a Night" alongside "Dumb and Dumber" and have a laugh with "Bingo Bongo", enjoy yourself, Poletti. ;-)

"Ya mama" is the funniest and wildest piece of dance electronica ever conceived, but unfortunately it doesn't belong to this album. The album is obviously original, unrestrained, and a total party! Norman is a phenomenal DJ. However, in the subsequent "Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars," there are at least 3 tracks that marked the peak of Fatboy Slim. My review will be coming soon. Congrats on yours. Exceptionally written! ;-)

Templar: "Enough with comparisons like '...sound like Pink Floyd'... But where is this sound??" In the first track of the CD "Space Maker," the imprint is just that.

Congratulations on the review! You provided an excellent definition of electronic music, and you explained the artistic style of AIR perfectly, a brilliant group that has always managed to move me! Unfortunately, I have never attended one of their live shows, but fortunately, I own almost their entire discography and I've been able to study it with meticulous attention. The underrated "Pocket Symphony" is AIR's masterpiece, and I wish I could see them live at a concert in 2008. Check out my reviews on AIR here on Debaser. ;-)
Micheal Bay Bad Boys II

The most outrageous movie ever written! Grating actors, cringe-worthy lines that you love to hate, the rich black American rolling around in luxurious cars performing breathtaking stunts with a sense of humor reflecting the worst of hardcore America. It's a disgrace! And young people are copying this style, turning into idiots! Shameful movie! If I want to see a badass American film, but with true humor, I'll watch COMMANDO!!!!! The only thing I love about Michael Bay is the fast-paced music video editing. A feature that critics, unfortunately, hate!!

I'm sorry, but after growing up on bread, Rambo, and Commando, how can one be a communist?
Bernardo Bertolucci The Dreamers

The idea of banging my biological sister has always excited me! Too bad I have a brother and I'm not gay. Anyway, I didn't see all this sexual revolution in this film! Bertolucci is good, the scenes have definitely artistic value but honestly, it didn't thrill me. It's not a bad movie, though.

Sotanaht... wait until he dies and you'll see! They called Totò "mediocre" even while he was alive! The brilliant comedy of Villaggio and his humorous dramatic acting flair has appeared in all his films. He wasn't an improviser like Totò, he didn't have Franchi's mimicry, but his character has so many facets that you can't help but call Villaggio a Genius. Of course, "GENIUS" is a word that applies to Chaplin! But Villaggio... in his own way, in his directorially mediocre films, in his often wrong artistic choices, in his mistakes... I think he is nevertheless a genius!
