you slip her a plastic bag while explaining that it's very punk to help her finish it. then you throw her under another car. in any case, don't ask too many questions; asking too many questions isn't punk. as long as you keep asking yourself all these questions, you'll never be a real punk.

The best thing about your example, Leonid, is throwing the old woman under a car while you’re helping her.

I like it, even though in fact maybe the previous one was better. Anyway, Jesper joined the Nasum moooooolto after the formation of the burst, I don’t know why everyone is convinced otherwise.

I know nothing about Thai Buddhism, but in the text mentioned above, I read that it is Theravada (well, almost all of Southeast Asia is Theravada, I guess). Of course, in Japan, there are millions of great groups, but try explaining that to the girls who imagine doing things with those ambiguous things created specifically by clever record companies... the scary thing is seeing the boys adore them too! But with all the cute idols out there...!!!

There was never a council from which the division between Mahayana and Hinayana arose; it is one of the many myths circulating in the Buddhist world. The origins of Mahayana are far more complex (and largely still unclear), and are likely to be traced back to specific practices of visualization of the Buddha that emerged between northern India and Central Asia, whose purpose was to allow the practitioner to listen again to his oral teachings (during a time when the chronological distance from the life of Shakyamuni was already strongly felt): then it expanded to visualizing also Tusita, where the good Maitreya resides, and gradually, with the development of visionary Mahayana sutras, it moved on to various "non-historical" Buddhas and bodhisattvas (a very simplified summary, mind you!). Regarding the use of the term Hinayana, I quote from Philippe Cornu's "Dizionario del Buddhismo" (2003 Bruno Mondadori): "it is not possible to eliminate this term which has its historical and doctrinal rationale." The same text notes how Theravada doctrine opposes, like Hinayana, certain theories of other ancient non-Mahayana schools, which confirms what I said before: Theravada is not the correct synonym for Hinayana, but is a term that indicates only one of its many manifestations. In practice, saying Theravada=Hinayana is like saying, I don't know, Madhyamika=Mahayana. How is it that I am getting so passionate about this debate? Hehe.

Among other things, I notice that the review I am referring to appears on arlequins, a site that you yourself mentioned elsewhere.
