If you were referring to me, I obviously wasn't talking about you, but about those who voted in the comments (my messages seemed pretty clear...)

In certain passages, I can feel the influence of the DMC.

of course, the conversation changes if you've heard the album and objectively don't like it (the famous de gustibus)

But imagine! What makes me smile here are only certain judgments about which I have serious doubts regarding their genuineness. The accusation that Green Day has sold out has been following them since at least the time of Dookie, so I'm not surprised. The fact that they are a mainstream band is undeniable, but I wouldn't dismiss this album as just banal "commercial stuff" tout court; just think about the structure of the individual pieces: in how many works, even by less popular artists, do we often stray from the verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-ch orus structure? I've already mentioned this in another review; the negative critiques here have little to do with the album itself and a lot to do with questionable prejudices. In fact, few of those who gave it a 1 have actually listened to it (at most the "single," but since when do we evaluate albums based on one single track?): it serves to give oneself some credibility, that's all, it's not a novelty but I still find it a rather immature behavior.

Uh, even just on Debaser, if you go check out other people, you'll find several users who appreciated the album even though they're not teenage girls (details).

Giving ratings based on the group's name rather than the actual content of the album is all too common on Debaser; it's almost a status symbol! It's one thing if you don't like the group's style, but the 1s seen here seem to be given with the typical adolescent fervor of someone trying to prove they "know better": the fact that the album isn't completely garbage is a trivial detail (by the way, the Ramones are a great example, maci).

In purely musical judgment, the "charity" pieces have always baffled me, but I won't engage in a debate on the matter.
