Eels Shootenanny!

I was wondering where I had heard the name EELS... now I remember, I heard it a few days ago from Ernesto de Pascale (music critic) in a music program, indeed. De Pascale, who is no fool, was talking about it with enthusiasm... good job Hal, I’ll make a note of this too.

This is a job for Turkish...come on, tell us more about this "Dogma 95", I know a bit, but just in broad terms.

For example, this winter, due to unforeseen circumstances, I went to the movies very rarely and watched the beautiful "Respiro" (too bad about the usual pitiful voice of Golino) on tape... the underwater scenes, in my opinion, would have been stunning on the big screen.

Turkish, I think I’ve read that you’re interested in all the films from the directors adhering to the "Dogma 95" manifesto by Von Trier. For example, one of my favorites is Festen by Vinterberg. Am I being snobbish too?

I still need to see "Dolls" by Kitano, what do you say? How is it? Maybe it would have been better to see it in the cinema (like all films, after all)... a De-Cinema section would also be nice, very nice, why not consider it? Music and film reviews.

Turkish, they were showing the film on satellite (I think it was RaiSat) and I saw it for the first time a little while ago. I’m being honest, I was very curious; I had that curiosity since I was a child or a teenager precisely because I hadn’t been able to see it since it was supposedly banned due to its themes. Moreover, I remembered the rumors about a flirtation between Sakamoto and Bowie (always the connoisseur Bowie, Sakamoto is remarkable in the film) ;-) I found the film a bit heavy and somewhat empty. And to think that usually the heavier the films are, the more I like them. The soundtrack of "Il tè nel deserto" is also very beautiful.

Did I have a motherly tone? Oh my... professional deformation! Tabba, I don't take myself seriously in general, let alone here, but I really enjoy the lively tones used in these comments. Ulan Bator noted, but since I've been around, it's a mess; I feel like buying a record a day, and soon I'll have to take out a mortgage just to buy records.

You see, Tabba, the difference between you and me is that I come to read your reviews of Turbonegro, I get curious, I take notes and then I rework them, so basically I learn something. And you? You just make me look ridiculous Sakamoto?... Watch out for the vipers Hal, you’re right.
