Extremely emotional album, with two or three truly spot-on lyrical moments. The Cocteau, even if they remain confined to the temporal niche of the '80s, have produced work that has lasted a long time. "Treasure" is one of their best efforts.

For me, the best Pink Floyd... the most direct, the most hermetic, the most conceptually radical. Perhaps less experimental, but at that point in their career, they no longer needed sonic explorations. Rather, it was a descent into the depths of the human soul, as this album indeed is. Ferocious guitars, mocking voices, atmospheres that sweat blood and smog: truly great.

An iconic record of my young youth, I was almost a little kid. But "Don't Go" was actually liked by children as well. A very beautiful album. "Winter kills" the most exciting moment, in every sense.

I just reviewed Nature Unveiled. Soon I will talk about Imperium, which in my opinion is the 5-star album by Current. What else is there to say?.... Essential.

The problem with Atrax Morgue is that if you take ten random titles from his vast discography, they all seem the same. The originality of a project lies in sowing something new and allowing it to evolve over time. Corbelli seems to have found the formula and exploits it to the point of nausea. And even though his way of making "music" is evocative, it's nothing but an abominable recitation of himself. In this regard, undoubtedly more significant and enjoyable are the early albums of Current 93, as well as the works of unknown artists like Stratum Terror or Sigillum S.

See what I wrote about Evanescence. Lacuna are also a finely crafted product for a hybrid audience that wants a bit of metal aggression and a touch of dark decadence, without really knowing in the end if bands like Lacuna are worth the money and the trouble. Live, they really have some gaps: compared to their recordings, they notably decline in technique, vocals, and impact. But go listen to Slayer, it's better.

The classic group artfully created by the record market to fill that hybrid niche of dark-metal teenagers who are neither goth nor metal. On record, anonymous music well-packaged, but live, a frightening scarcity.
