Many sounds seem to be borrowed from old albums by Deca (like Phantoms, for example, which is from '98) and Harold Budd. On the second listen, it feels like stuff I've heard a long time ago and it definitely doesn’t give me any unexpected vibes.

Rai Trade has always produced records. Genre pieces, lesser-known artists, but of great quality. It's significant that Rai has produced an experimental music album, isn't it?

I had also reviewed this beautiful album by this great composer... a review that went almost unnoticed. As always, names that are not trendy or haven't sold 10 million copies remain a dead letter. And yet, everyone is still there looking for new and striking things... well, Deca is striking!

Anyway, I didn't speak well of this album. Now don't make me seem like the one who advocates for the cause of shady musicians! I didn't even vote for it...

I've never hung out with this band... I'll get something right away...

Regarding the latest album... in my review, I wrote that there is absolutely nothing on the innovation front, and I agree with you on the now-established recipe of this genre of music. But that doesn't take away from the fact that at the content level, FLA continue to be excellent and to keep the spotlight, without going overboard and without softening the controversial atmosphere of their worldview.
These are albums to be evaluated with an emotional-intellectual approach... it's not necessary to question the exegesis of the genre and technological development. There are thousands of rock bands that make highly enjoyable albums while using the same guitar and drum sounds they've been using for thirty years. For FLA, it's the same: the good taste is a given, regardless of the sounds. One cannot indeed say that pizza is no longer enjoyable just because it has been the same for a hundred years :)

One of the most intense records of David Tibet's complex (and discontinuous) collaborative production, where he found an excellent mind in HOH to create truly deep atmospheres. I love this album.

Great album... but "Into the pandemonium" was more original and daring. Kudos to CF anyway for what they gave us. The cover, taken from a painting by Giger, is worth the purchase by itself and perfectly reflects the band's mindset :)

Certainly, the dilemma is always the same: to evaluate based on the overall work of a single author or based on an epoch-defining "scene"? Especially when it comes to classical authors, the focus should remain on the broad overview. And even considering just Ludwig, it’s difficult to create scales of evaluation… we are talking about one of the greatest of all time, who has written two or three of the most universally resonant "themes" ever.

Here in Liguria, we say "che rumenta!" This kind of commercial little products designed at the table for a radio audience of brainless teenagers just doesn't make sense. Not here on Debaser :)
