I really enjoyed the concert, even though we're talking about a judgment that is mostly emotional, considering my limited musical background on the subject... To appreciate it better, the explanatory part was definitely essential; the project is fascinating also for its meta-musical aspects, and I really liked hearing about the blending of genres outside the usual rehashing of lounge music, along with the humility of not claiming to have invented something new, but rather to be part of an already established research journey.

Among the three, I feel most in tune with the slowness of protection, but regardless of this, the connection with maxinquaye is not dictated by qualitative comparisons, rather by the interweaving of texts and atmospheres of the two albums, which somehow makes them "twins," a coincidence that I have never encountered elsewhere...
