Kings of Convenience Quiet Is The New Loud
Voto:
The album is timeless, but... will they make another one? These KoC are a bit lazy!!! And don't mention Unrest to me...
Notwist / Lali Puna / Couch Weilheim auf Achse - Live - Monaco Alabamahalle16.10.03

But then it's true!!! It goes back and forth, not left and right as they said in Urbino, but it still moves! Beautiful review, The Notwist are extraordinary, I still wonder why they didn't create this buzz starting from the beautiful shrink... At this point, though, I really need the family tree, I'm not joking!

Congratulations, great start! I would say we’re just missing a nice review of the debut album! Anyone?
Lotus Nessuno è innocente
Voto:
Thank you for the advice, I will keep it in mind. I attended the Milan date of Tora Tora, but the Lotus were not on the schedule. They were still listed in the Mescal showcase on the ticket, so they must have participated in some other date...
PJ Harvey Is This Desire?
Voto:
"demented" is a very MTV TRL adjective, which somewhat spoils an otherwise beautiful review :D But wasn't Cristina Donà the Italian PJ, or are we back to the usual melting pot of similarities?
Oasis Live Forever [single]

definitely maybeeeeeeeeee the britpop anthem... it was the time when NME idolized them and showered them with awards... impossible not to sing along!
The Rapture Echoes
Voto:
absolutely agree, there is always something very personal that makes a difference in these musical proposals that tread already known paths. in this case, it’s the energy that this record transmits that is phenomenal; I go crazy for the transitions between one song and another: when House Of Jealous Lovers kicks off at the end of The Coming Of Spring, I just can't stop!!!
And then lately it feels like I hear "echoes" of The Cure everywhere, just look at Mogwai...
Sting Sacred Love
Voto:
Frantz, apart from everything, did you expect this album to be any different? After Nothing Like The Sun, I haven't been able to find any interest in his work... and it also makes me a bit sad as a public figure, from tantra to elite schools for his kids, from castle-like houses in the English countryside to trying to appear young by flirting with dance music or duetting with Craig David... I think Ozzy is absolutely right! Right now, he’s more suited for the pages of a women's magazine than the music scene... he’s really aging poorly...
Marilyn Manson The Golden Age Of Grotesque

the cover of Tainted Love identical to the Soft Cell version is grotesque, but far from golden
Dido Life For Rent
Voto:
I like this review; it seems clear and balanced to me. However, I would have preferred a few more observations about Dido as a record phenomenon, her unexpected commercial success (could it be that the feature in "Stan" worked wonders?) and the responsibilities surrounding this second release.
