@Olsen, is the 5 for courage or for quality? It may be as you say, but I continue to judge an album by the... music, and sorry if I’m being simplistic... Are all the other historical/political/avant-garde/et hnological and oenological reasons really that important when I sit back on the couch and want to listen to a CD? If an album is a piece of dog crap, it will always remain so for me, and no one will ever be able to change my mind with arguments that fall outside the sonic context.

Heard immediately after the surge in popularity of the "voce del padrone"... imagine my disappointment! And who knows how many other people picked up this brick expecting a completely different sound. I won't rate the album due to my declared manifest inability to comprehend the cacophony.

@Forever, uhm... we are inside a worrying economic recession that currently shows no signs of bottoming out. Yesterday, I read that the car market (a significant driver of a country's economy) is in sharp decline, bringing along all the grim consequences that follow. People are on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Many see the arrival of summer as a remedy to stir things up a bit with tourism and for some smiles, which are always free. But you, with the hypothesis of doom/drone music being played over the air, want to ruin even the market for sunscreen and flip-flops, which is the last bastion of a crumbling economy???!!! Yes, it's possible that with doom music "imposed," people would reflect more, resulting in the only market booming being that of antidepressants, reaching even the coffins!

Nice review, clear and thorough, it clearly conveys the almost zero artistic value of the album, even without needing to give it a listen. I would also be very cautious about showing it around to make an impression...
