ops... sorry... since I put this disc in the player, I've been speaking backwards because it is a totally inverse album of what one usually hears: "played backwards, sung backwards, written and interpreted backwards". "Onitsed" ("destiNy") is the third album by Allun (nothiNg), a very Italian female noise rock group, now reduced to a duo, after "Et Sise" (2000) and "Onussen" (2002) (still words backwards...existS, no oNe) and marks a very interesting milestone in pure sound and beyond: this, in fact, is not just music; the precious box set that encloses this work of strange sounds also contains a substantial booklet and a DVD with a video clip. Admire, too, the polymathic genius of these two women children, which unfolds between music, art, video installation, live performance, and even fashion (a fashion show was created by the duo, in which each model would create the dress to wear). So many forms of expression that also make the album...

the music contained therein?

Have you gone mad? Do you want to listen to it?

it's a delirium... four tracks, presented almost as if they were classical music suites. Four tracks that cannot help but devastate the brain. The splendid "Two Little Girls in the Woods" is enough to understand the heart of the work: a child's lullaby is abducted by electric guitars, sounding like monsters gone mad. The two Allun scream, whisper disconnected phrases, while their instruments (which also include blenders and appliances) go wild in absolute madness and noise delirium. The song is also the lead theme of the video contained in the DVD, a video featuring rural landscapes: the two Allun are disguised as aliens and two little girls chase them: we are still in the philosophy of opposites, the monsters are chased by the prey.

This album is for you only if you are not afraid of the extreme, of always aiming beyond, of finding the avant-garde. If, however, you prefer bachata, well, this record will serve only as a cool decorative accessory to catch the eye of some of your intellectual friends.
