I was expecting a certain continuity with "Watershed," which I consider perfect, but they really let me down, not so much because of the change in direction—which I can understand—but because of the emptiness, boredom, and pointlessness of their latest effort. I'm sorry, but I found them a bit soft; before, they used to tear apart the Anaal to shreds, now they use vaseline and moisturizing creams. Only the last track is worthy of their heraldry. If you want, listen to "Escathon" from 2006 and you will notice the difference.
