The lyrics of Crass are the best in rock, the music a little less so, but it's perfectly in tune with the discomfort and confusion of the listener, a sort of hypnosis. The beauty of Crass is that, besides killing societal norms, they also wanted to kill musical conventions. For me, they revolutionized a lot, but for an average Italian music listener, who most of the time doesn't care about the lyrics (aside from the fact that they probably download the album anyway), the music of Crass is very, very, very hard to digest...
